This is my JavaScript talk. It is more of a JavaScript basics but I
think that a lot of the best practices in JavaScript come by looking
back at the basics of JavaScript since a lot of users come to
JavaScript from languages such as Java and because of the prototypal
and functional nature of JavaScript.

There were a few errors like some quotes disappearing, but I was too
lazy to fix it.
I am still in the middle of reading a few novels and thus I do not have any finished novels to review and it will most likely be another week at least before I post a book review here.
In the meanwhile I wanted to post that I decided to start reading more long form things and specifically, I found a nice list of Paper about Computer Science that are available http://www.cs.virginia.edu/~robins/CS_readings.html. I will I post the articles and some thoughts on them when I've read each article. I may not read all the articles, but definitely a lot.
http://longreads.com/ is also a good website for finding long-form reading material about a given subject.
